Mountain Prašivá

Woody hill in the pommel of the Kaluzky vrch hill – the Ropice hill – the Ropicka hill and the Cupel hill, in northeast part of the Moravskoslezske Beskydy mountains. A tourist chalet with outlook-tower from 1921 is set at northwest spur called “Mala Prasiva”. The wooden church of St. Antonin was built on nearby meadow in 1640. According to a legend, every girl who comes bootless to the church during the day of patron’s name-day will get married in one year. The peak was prohibited zone during the Second World War; nobody could even get near.
